Victorian Watercolours are familiar to everyone from cards and postcards, which are bought in vast numbers. We can all bring to mind an idealised vision of Victorian childhood – rosy cheeked children clad in starched linen petticoats and high collars, their hair tied up in ribbons, playing happily around the village green.
