A beautifully put together book that is, as it says on the cover, ‘in pictures’ – and some fine ones at that. If you were ‘there’ during the ’70’s (as in ‘most’ of the decade and not vaguely aware of 1979) – you will find a cherished memory on every page, grisly, violent or controversial though they may have been at the time. You remember the newscaster, the radio announcer, or in some rare cases, seeing it happen (well, who could have missed the Silver Jubilee AND Virginia Wade in the same year???). If you were too young (or too stoned) to recall the ’70’s, here is a pocket guide to the major events and images that will send you off researching more (though I have yet to find any authoritative tome that can explain flared trousers or The Bay City Rollers).
Hardback with dust jacket – in good condition
