The evil Enchanter and his secret police have been vanquished to the Garbage Dump outside of the city. But although Enchated City is now Bright City and restoration is going on everywhere, the dark things do what they can to breach the Ranger Surround of protection.
Little Child has now made crossing and joined his brother, Hero, in Bright City. He is to be an apprentice to a Master Teacher who will show him how to take his place in the Restoration. And Hero, though a good fighter, a brave worker, and a choice leader, still has many lessons to learn about the King and the Kingdom.
